PURPOSE: To make it possible to continuously perform the rotation of a printer and the movement of paper, by once accelerating or decelerating a printing roller when shift is generated in the detection periods of respective sensors at the start end parts of a non-printing region and a printing region.
CONSTITUTION: The rotary position of the non-printing region start end part 121 of a printing roller 1 and the paper feed position of the printing region start end part 212 of paper 2 are respectively subjected to pulse display by pulse counters 13, 23. A control part 5 controls the rotary speed of the printing roller 1 according to informations from sensors 3, 4 for detecting whether the end parts 121, 211 reach predetermined reference positions and the counters 13, 23 and, after accelerates or decelerates the printing roller 1 when shift is generated in the sensor detection periods, again performs acceleration or deceleration to return the rotary speed of the printing roller 1 to the original one to adjust shift and coincides the printing region start end part 111 of the printing roller 1 and the printing region start end part 211 of the paper 2. By this method, the enhancement of the efficiency of a printing process is achieved.
