Title:
CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001141023
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To enable smooth continuously variable speed change even at the time of extremely slow rotation, and adjust its maximum transmitting torque by means of an adjusting bolt.

A base plate 3 is mounted to the end part of the stationary housing of a shaft 1, and a slider 4 is coupled with a slide surface, so that sliding is thereby performed by means of a remote control wire 19. Plural epicyclic rollers 5 are disposed over to the outer circumference of the slider 4 so as to be connected therewith by a ring 6. One cam follower 8 is mounted to the aforesaid ring, so that rotating power is thereby transmitted by means of a pedal crank 16. Furthermore, an inner side rubber ring 13 is assembled in the inner side of the epicyclic roller 5, and an outer side rubber ring 14, a sprocket wheel 10 and holder 11 are assembled in the outer side by means of an adjusting bolt 12.
