PURPOSE: To provide a control center for electric motor in which the setting of a starting method or the determination of correction as to whether there is an error or not in a main circuit constitution is performed in the stopping state of an electric motor and when it is determined that there is an error, an electromagnetic contactor is brought into an unoperating state to avoid undesired trouble at the time of operation.
CONSTITUTION: When an electric motor 1 is stopped, an auxiliary contact signal taken in through a b-contact 12 which is the auxiliary contact of electromagnetic contactors MC-F, MC-R is compared with the information set by a starting method setting switch 11. When the setting of the starting method setting switch 11 does not accord with the circuit constitution of the electromagnetic contactors MC-F, MC-R connected to a main circuit 2 and a correction determination result is determined to be 'error', an off-signal is outputted to a sequence control circuit 10 on the basis of the determination result to bring both of the electromagnetic contactors MC-F, MC-R into an unoperating state and restrict the electric motor 1 to the state of being unable to be operated. Therefore, undesirable trouble at the time of operation can be avoided.
