PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable an electric vehicle to be smoothly stopped.SOLUTION: A control method for an electric vehicle includes a speed control step, a disturbance torque estimation step, and a torque instruction value calculation step for calculating a torque instruction value by adding speed control torque and disturbance torque. The speed control step includes: a rotation speed target value setup step; a feed-forward torque calculation step for calculating feed-forward torque by applying first filter processing to a rotation speed target value; a feedback torque calculation step for calculating feedback torque by applying second filter processing to a difference between the rotation speed target value and the rotation speed; and an addition step for calculating speed control torque by adding the feed-forward torque and the feedback torque.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
