To provide a control method of an exhaust gas cleaning system and the exhaust gas cleaning system which can effectively raise the temperature of the exhaust gas to a target temperature while preventing the generation of a white smoke at the time of control of a temperature rise of the exhaust for restoring the cleaning capacity of an exhaust gas cleaning device of an internal combustion engine.
In the control of the temperature rise of the exhaust at the time of the regeneration control of the exhaust gas cleaning device 12, when the temperature Tg1 of the exhaust gas flowing into the exhaust gas cleaning device 12 is lower than a predetermined judgement value Tp, the first control of the temperature rise of the exhaust is performed which includes air intake throttle without including post injection. When the temperature Tg1 is more than or equal to the predetermined judgement value Tp, the second control of the temperature rise of the exhaust is performed which includes both the post injection and the air intake throttle. Then the amount of the air intake throttle α at the time of the first control of the temperature rise of the exhaust is made larger than the amount of the air intake throttle β at the time of the second control of the temperature rise of the exhaust.
