Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control system of a simple construction for a laser beam welding head.
SOLUTION: The system is provided with at least two semiconductor laser heads which emit laser beams for measurement at a predetermined angle in line upon the surface of a member to be welded, a band pass filter which passes only the wavelength of the laser beam for measurement, a CCD camera which photographs the laser beam for measurement through the band pass filter, an image processing means which processes an image of the laser beam for measurement photographed by the CCD camera and decides the state of the surface being welded, and the attitude of laser heads for welding are controlled based on the state of the decided surface being welded.
