PURPOSE: To make control approximate to yet more ideal power performance, by setting a shift control line and a lockup control line independently respectively.
CONSTITUTION: Throttle opening value of each crossover point in a broken line graph of a lockup control diagram is selected in two points different from opening value in a shift control diagram. With this constitution, since a function table of shift control and another function table of lockup control are independent each, throttle opening at a crossover point of each control line is determinable entirely irrespective of the shift control and the lockup control, thus the throttle opening of an ideal crossover point is selectable from the standpoint of both these shift and lockup control actions.
