PURPOSE: To set an optimum delay time in accordance with a load capacity and the degree of wetness of clothes in a controller for a dryer of clothes having electrodes and temperature sensors.
CONSTITUTION: On an inner peripheral plate having a hot air blow out port provided in the front side of a main body, a heater 9 with positive temperature characteristics as a heat source is provided. The rotation of a fan causes a hot air heated through the heater 9 to be guided to a rotating drum from the hot air blow out port, so that clothes are heated and dried. Temperature sensors 15a, 15b are located near the rotating drum and below and above the hot air blow out port of the inner peripheral plate to detect the temperature. A resistance detecting means 16 detects the resistance value of an electrode 10 and a temperature detecting means 17 detects the temeperature from the temperature sensors 15a, 15b. A control means 18 composed of various electronic circuits including a microcomputer. The control means receives signals from the resistance detecting means 16 and the temperature detecting means 17 to control a current supply to a motor 2 and the heater 9.
