Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain finally correct spring constants, which can be continuously measured during the machining, and has good efficiency, fewer dispersion in thicknesses, and accurate sizes, by measuring the change in the thickness of the hinge part in an etching liquid by an electric or optical means, and controlling the machining.

CONSTITUTION: Mainly the hinge part 2 of a pendulum assembly 1 is held at a constant slant angle in the etching liquid 5. A spring piece 6a of a normally open switch 6, which is constituted by a spring piece having relatively strong elasticity, is elastically contacted with a specified part of the pendulum 3, and the upward energizing force is applied. When the etching does not progress and the elastic deformation is not yielded in the hinge part, the spring pieces 6a and 6b are contacted. When the etching progresses, the thickness of the hinge part becomes thin, the spring constant becomes small, the pendulum 3 moves upward, and the switch 6 is opened. This state can be immediately detected by the connection of the switch 6, a display circuit, and the like. Then the etching is stopped, and the pendulum assembly 1 is taken out of the etching liquid. Or, the angle of the change or the amount of displacement of the pendulum is optically measured, and the change in the spring constants of the hinge part 2 is confirmed. When a specified value is reached, the etching is stopped, and the pendulum is taken out of the liquid 5.
