PURPOSE: To accelerate input speed by providing a flag which designates the execution of processing to perform the switching processing of priority of a homonym in accordance with a KANA(Japanese syllabary) header at every KANA header.

CONSTITUTION: The content of the dictionary storage part of a KANA/KANJI (Chinese character) conversion dictionary 1 comprises a pair of word groups by storing the KANA header 21 at a leading position, thence, a priority switching feasibility decision flag 22, a first homonym 23-1, a separation mark 24, a second homonym 23-2, the SEP 24,..., an n-th homonym 23-N, and the SEP 24. Furthermore, the KANA header 25 of the next pair is stored following the final SEP 24, and the flag 22, the homonym, and the SEP 24 are stored similarly as the first KANA header 21. Such storing order shows the order of the homonym, and the switching of the order can be realized by switching the storing order of the homonym. Thereby, the input speed can be accelerated by storing the display position of a targeted homonym and selecting the display position without confirming a display content.
