Abstract:
To provide a conveyance device and a conveyance method capable of improving stop position accuracy of a driven body in a conveyance system in which a plurality of conveyance units having a pinion gear driven by a drive motor are planarly installed.SOLUTION: The conveyance device comprises: a driven body 1 containing a flat gear 4; and a plurality of conveyance units 2 which are provided so as to be arranged adjacent to each other to convey the driven body 1 in a predetermined direction. Each of the conveyance units 2 comprises: a pinion gear 5 engaging with the flat gear 4 to transmit power; a drive mechanism 6 for driving the pinion gear 5; and a control part 7 for controlling rotation. Relating to one conveyance unit 2 (2A) and the other conveyance unit 2 (2B) arranged adjacent to each other, the control part 7, in a state where they are stopped, rotates the drive mechanism 6 of the other conveyance unit 2 (2B) in a direction reducing any one of backlashes formed on both sides of the pinion gear 5 of the other conveyance unit 2(2B).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
