To provide a conveying apparatus in which a conveying efficiency is enhanced and a cost is reduced by making a conveying passage switching part common by conveying articles to be conveyed in the conveying direction in the first and second conveying passages when the conveying passage switching part transferring the articles to be conveyed in both directions between the first and second conveying passages do not transfer the articles to be conveyed.
The conveying apparatus has the first and second conveying lines 111, 121 and the convey passage switching part 130 having the first and second switching parts 131, 132 transferring a container C between the first and second conveying passages 110, 120. The first switching part 131 can be switched to the first conveying direction maintaining aspect conveying the container C on the first conveying passage 110 and to the first conveying direction turning aspect transferring the container C from the first conveying passage 110 to the second conveying passage 120. The second switching part 132 can be switched to the second conveying direction maintaining aspect conveying the container C on the second conveying passage 120 and to the second conveying direction turning aspect transferring the container C from the second conveying passage 120 to the first conveying passage 110.
