Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a food container of a plastic which has not only an improved preserving property for contents but also improved flavor preserving property and which is suitable when sterilization and cooking are performed at the same time by providing a layer, wherein hydrophobic zeolites having the mole ratio SiO2/Al2O3 of 10 or more are dispersed in a resin, over at least a part of a cooked food storing area.

CONSTITUTION: The wall of a container comprises an outer layer 2 of a heat- resistant thermoplastic resin, an adhesive resin layer 3a, a first intermediate layer 4 having gas barrier property, an adhesive resin layer 3b, and an inner layer 5 comprising a second intermediate layer 6 comprising compositions combined with hydrophobic zeolite and an inner layer 7 of a dampproof thermoplastic resin. The mole ratio SiO2/Al2O3 of hydrophobic zeolite is 10 or more, particularly 30 or more, most preferably 100-5000. The concentration of the hydrophobic zeolite is 0.5-40wt.% per resin, desirably 1-20wt.%.
