Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve the replacing workability of a coolant of an engine for an automobile, and enhance replacing efficiency of the coolant.
CONSTITUTION: A coolant replacing device is constituted by containing a coolant housing tank 13, an injection hose 14, a relay hose 15 and a drainage hose 16, and an upper hose 10 is removed from a coolant inlet 5 of a radiator 1, and the coolant inlet 5 is plugged up, and the injection hose 14 is connected to a radiator filler 4. When prescribed operation is performed in a condition where the other end of the relay hose 15 is connected to a radiator side connecting end part 10a of the upper hose 10, a coolant can be easily replaced. An air-operated level gauge 21 to detect a coolant residual quantity in the tank 13 is arranged in a replacing device 12, and a three-way valve 19 is controlled in a switching system on the basis of an air signal from this level gauge, and after the coolant is replaced, the coolant between the radiator 1 and an engine is continuously circulated, and after replacement of the coolant is started, operation of the device is made unnecessary.
