Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a copolyester which can provide a sheet or film excellent in clarity and mechanical strengths.
CONSTITUTION: The copolyester is obtd. from a dicarboxylic acid component mainly comprising terephthalic acid and/or naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and contg. 0.5-50mol% phthalic acid and a diol component mainly comprising ethylene glycol and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.5-1.5dl/g.
