PURPOSE: To enable the temperature signal transmission of high reliability to be performed with simple composition by enabling the base surface temperature of an iron main-body section to be detected with a temperature sensor set on a stand section.
CONSTITUTION: When an iron main-body section 1 is set on a stand section 2 and a necessary temperature is set, power is fed to a heater 4 from a stand electrode 6 via a main body electrode 5. By a temperature sensor 7 set on the stand section 2, the temperature of the base 3 of an iron is detected and the temperature information is transmitted to a temperature controlling section 8. By the temperature controlling section 8, the temperature information is compared with a temperature set by a user and the heater 4 is heated till the temperature of the base 3 reaches the set temperature. Besides, when the iron main-body section is temporarily mounted on the stand section, the temperature of the base 3 is detected by the temperature sensor 7 of the stand section, and the temperature controlling section 8 is worked, and the heater 4 is electrified, and the lowered temperature of the base 3 is heightened at the set temperature again. In this manner, the temperature of the base 3 is controlled to keep the set temperature.
