To provide a sewing yarn capable of exhibiting excellent deodorizing effects on malodor such as ammonia, amines, hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans, aldehydes, acetic acid, or the like contained in tobacco smell even without deodorizing effectiveness in a fabric with hardly any deterioration of deodorizing properties even after washing, and having excellent sewability such as industrial or domestic sewing, and beautifulness of seams.
A core yarn conjugate fiber yarn is obtained by winding a staple fiber bundle to be a sheath yarn in an amount of 20-80 wt.% based on the total yarn weight around a multifilament yarn to be a core yarn in the longitudinal direction, and applying first twists within the range of 1.5-5.5 twist multiplier K. Fibers in which a vinyl monomer having an acidic group is graft copolymerized are contained in an amount of 20 wt.% based on the total yarn weight, and the staple fiber bundle is composed of polyamide fibers.
