Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the corresponding hydroxylamino sugar and hydroxylamino acid in high yield from an amino sugar and amino acid having many substd. groups without changing the other substd. groups.
CONSTITUTION: Aliphatic non-axial hydroxylamines are prepared from the corresponding aliphatic non-axial prim. amines comprising a step for preparing a reaction mixture by mixing an excess of aliphatic non-axial prim. amines with dialkyl dioxiranes having 2-6C in all in the dialkyl groups, and a step for maintaining the reaction mixture for a sufficient time to form the corresponding hydroxylamine.
