Abstract:

To provide a steel pipe excellent in resistance to high-pressure carbon dioxide corrosion.

The steel pipe has a composition comprising, by mass, ≤0.05% C, ≤0.50% Si, 0.10-1.80% Mn, ≤0.03% P, ≤0.005% S, 14.0-18.0% Cr, ≤2.0% Cu, 2.5-6.5% Ni, 0.5-3.0% Mo, 0.05% Al, 0.15% N, or further at least one selected from ≤0.20% Nb, ≤0.20% V, ≤0.20% Ti and ≤2.5% W, satisfying (Cr+3.2Mo+1.6W+0.5Ni+0.3Cu+3N-20C)≥22.5, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities. The steel pipe may further contain Ca. The steel pipe is excellent in corrosion resistance in an environment of high-pressure carbon dioxide, and thus is suitable for a member for carbon dioxide gas injection.
