Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crank-type braiding machine which achieves the high-speed travel of a carrier and low noise by inventing a new braiding machine having a structure without a face plate, by focusing attention on the presence of the face plate causing noise generation and speed reduction in the conventional braiding machine.SOLUTION: Drive shafts connected to respective drive gears are extended upward from the respective drive gears. A plurality of horns which are connected to the respective drive shafts and are rotated are provided in such a state that their peripheral parts are adjacent to each other. A plurality of guide grooves provided on the outer periphery of each horn are in communication with those provided on the outer periphery of an adjacent one of the horns. A first small-diameter gear connected to the middle part of each drive gear meshes with a second small-diameter gear meshing via a relay gear. A carrier shaft rotated by a second relay gear is extended. While being guided by the rotation of the drive gear in such a state as to be engaged in the inside of one of the guide grooves of each horn, each carrier shaft is moved to the inside of one of the guide grooves of the adjacent one of the horns and is moved around a flexible core material.
