To provide a solid-type adhesive composition and adhesive sheet which can be applied without using an organic solvent and water, and are excellent in adhesive force and retaining power, and particularly exhibit no decrease in adhesive force at low temperatures even if the glue thickness is reduced.
A method for producing a crosslinked solid-type adhesive composition including at least (a) a rubbery polymer, (b) a tackifier, and (c) at least one crosslinking agent selected from a thiuram vulcanizer, a quinoid vulcanizer, a quinonedioxime vulcanizer and a maleimide valcanizer, includes: heating and kneading the (a) rubbery polymer and the (b) tackifier as essential components without using an organic solution and water at all; and adding the (c) crosslinking agent and continuously heating and kneading the mixture to thereby obtain the adhesive composition, wherein the heating and kneading uses a pressure kneader, and is carried out by observing the torque on kneading and determining a final point in the torque rise as a final point of the crosslinking reaction in the range of a kneading temperature of 100 to 200°C, and a kneading time of 3 to 60 min.
