Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily generate a smooth three-dimensional curved surface on a computer based on three-dimensional data for indicating many three- dimensional positions.
SOLUTION: The three-dimensional data (xj, yj, zj) of the respective parts of a model surface are fetched by a three-dimensional measuring machine in S1, and in S3, the two position data x, and yj of the three-dimensional data are inputted as the input values of a neural network, the remaining position data zj are inputted as teacher signals and learning is performed by the number of times of learning set in S2. Then, in S5, many three-dimensional positions are obtained by using the neural network in the learning state as the curved surface formula of the three-dimensional curved surface and the three- dimensional curved surface composed of many three-dimensional positions is generated and displayed at a display device. By repeatedly generating the three- dimensional curved surface while changing the number of times of learning in S2, a desired three-dimensional curved surface in which measurement errors or the like are absorbed is easily obtained.
