PURPOSE: To obtain the cushion structure excellent in cushioning characteristics, compressive resilience, etc., and without an appearance of uneven processing by interlacing and heat fusing nonelastic polyamide crimped staple fibers and specific elastic conjugate fibers.
CONSTITUTION: (A) Nonelastic polyamide crimped staple fibers, (B) elastic conjugate fibers composed of (i) a thermoplastic elastomer having a melting point lower by ≥40°C than that of polyamide constructing component A and (ii) nonelastic polyamide, the component (i) covering ≥1/2 of the conjugate fiber surface, are blended to form a web having ≥30cm3/g bulkiness and three- dimensionally interlaced points between the conjugate fibers and between the component A and the conjugate fiber, and subjected to heat treatment at a temperature lower than the melting point of the component A and 10-80°C higher that of the component (i) to obtain the objective structure by heat fusing at least a part of the interlaced points of the fibers.
