To provide a cushioning material for a heat-resistant press which is made excellent in cushioning characteristics, reduced in compression set and improved in durability.

The cushioning material 1 for the heat-resistant press is used by being interposed between a hot press machine and a work to be pressed. An intermediate layer having a structure in which a coupling part 4 is locally provided so that a two-layered texture 3 is not separated, and at least one end forms an operation end 5 to excellently discharge/introduce air is laminated by inner and outer surface layers 7, 7 with a rubber layer 9 adhered to a texture 8 formed of heat-resistant fibers, and the rubber layer 9 of the surface layers 7, 7 is adhered to the intermediate layer 2.
