To provide a device for manufacturing material veneers with more excellent high-speed correspondence.
In this cutting device for a veneer, a veneer carrying-in conveyor and a carrying-out conveyor are arranged on one side and the other side around an anvil roll, respectively, and a cutting means cutting both a front end and a rear end of the veneer or at least either one of the ends is provided on the anvil roll. The cutting device includes an alignment belt for aligning the veneers on the carrying-in conveyor and a piercing roll and a divider provided on the carrying-out side of the cutting means for separating the veneers cut by the cutting means from the anvil roll and distributing the veneers. The anvil roll, the carrying-in conveyor, the carrying-out conveyor, the cutting means, the alignment belt, the piercing roll, and the divider are respectively driven by separate servo motors. These servo motors are respectively driven and controlled by position control based on virtual rotation of a virtual shaft controller stored in a control means in advance.
