Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide smoothing processing while preserving edges at a low cost.SOLUTION: A cyclic digital filter introduces level adaptation processing of input signals to perform smoothing processing while preserving edge areas, which are steep change of the input signals, preferably perform the processing separately in the horizontal and vertical directions, and more preferably perform two-path processing in forward and backward directions in the horizontal and vertical directions, and thereby compensating an asymmetric impulse response in a cyclic filter.
