Abstract:
To provide a DC electric motor with an asymmetrical stator inductor.SOLUTION: A DC motor 1 includes: a continuous rotation rotor 3; a first inductor A characterized by first parameters; a second inductor B characterized by second parameters; a voltage supply unit 9; a measurement unit 11 for detecting time instants when a first induced voltage in the first inductor A equals a second induced voltage in the second inductor B; and a control unit 5 for controlling the application of drive voltage pulses to the inductors. The rotor 3 faces first the second inductor B before facing the first inductor A when being rotated. At least one of the second parameters is selected to be different from a corresponding parameter of the first parameters such that a maximum induced voltage in the first inductor A is greater than a maximum induced voltage in the second inductor B. The control unit 5 is arranged to trigger the drive voltage pulses for each detection after a detection of an equal induced voltage in the first inductor A and the second inductor B.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
