Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decontamination structure on viscous ground and a decontamination method which enables application of the soil vapor extraction even in viscous ground having low gas permeability, has high decontamination efficiency and enables drastic shortening of a treatment period.
SOLUTION: In the viscous ground 9 which has a gas-permeable layer 2 on the lower side of viscous soil layer 1, a groundwater level is positioned on a gas-permeable layer 2 or on a lower part than the gas-permeable layer 2 and a contaminated layer 4 exists on the upper side than the groundwater level. Therein, a number of gas passing pillars 5 are constructed with a proper pitch and, thereby, the gas permeability of the viscous soil layer is improved. Subsequently, a gas suction device having a suction point 7 located on the gas-permeable layer part 61 of a suction hole 6 is operated and the gaseous contamination substance is recovered to the ground.
