Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject device ensuring defective yarns to be detected using a relevant detector.
SOLUTION: This device which has a winder 12 for catching and winding a defective yarn 3a and a detector 13 for detecting a defective yarn 3a along its winding path, works as follows: when a malpicking occurs, the defective yarn 3a at issue is set to be connected to a weft 3 on a picking main nozzle 5 side through avoiding cutting off the defective yarn 3a by a feed yarn cutter 11, the winder 12 is moved to a catching position close to the main nozzle 5 to catch the defective yarn 3a, and then the winder 12 is moved to a winding position, thereby the defective yarn 3a lying cut off the above weft 3 is pulled out of a woven fabric 9 by the winder 12; wherein the detector 13 is provided with a pair of guide walls 24 divergent toward the tip, a detective wall 25 situated in the converging direction of the above pair of guide walls 24, and a detective area 26 for the detector 13 in the vicinity of the detective wall 25.
