To provide a dental articulator constituted to allow the regulation of the relative positions in the longitudinal, vertical and rotating directions of upper and lower tooth form models.
The front surface a base plate 1 is provided with a lower mounting disk 5 for mounting the mandibular tooth form model and the rear surface of a turning plate 3 is provided with an upper mounting disk 6 for mounting the maxillary tooth profile model 9. The lower mounting disk 5 is mounted at the base plate 1 via a slider in such a manner that the disk is movable in the longitudinal direction and the rotating direction with respect to the base plate 1. Struts 2 are separated to an upper strut and a lower strut and may be arbitrarily regulated in the length in the vertical direction of the struts 2 by means of a sliding mechanism 20. Then, the positions of the upper and lower tooth form models when the position of the patient's jaw joint is reproduced are corrected to the correct positions by using these adjusting functions. If the moving distances or angles in the longitudinal, vertical and rotating directions corrected at this time are measured, the data for manufacturing the auxiliary implement for regulating the jaw joint position may be easily obtd.
