Abstract:
To provide a dental floss that can efficiently remove interdental food residuals, tooth plaque, and the like.SOLUTION: The dental floss 2 contains multifilaments and the dental floss 2 is a braid of a flat texture. The number of braids of the flat string is desirably 6-33 strings. The width of 0.5-4.0 mm and the passing space of 0.01-0.1 mm are desirable. The flat string can be combinations of monofilament or a plurality of connected threads as well as with multifilaments. The constituent threads of the braid are obliquely arranged and fixed. With the threads moved longitudinally, the obliquely fixed constituent threads efficiently remove interdental food residuals, tooth plaque, and the like. Also, the braid of the flat texture is flat and thin, and is easy to be inserted interdentally.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
