Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desk that excels in safety in a disaster.SOLUTION: The desk is composed of a top board 11 and first leg parts 12 which are perpendicularly installed downward from the top board 11 and are arranged with good balance in an erectable manner. The desk includes: guard plates 14 that are housed along the reverse side of the top board 11 and that are formed roughly with a width between adjacent legs of the plurality of the first leg parts 12; one or more shaft members 16 that axially support one side of the guard plates 16 so that the guard plates 14 are made rotatably pendent on the reverse side of the top board 11; and one or more rail members 17 that support the shaft members 16 slidably outward or inward on the reverse side of the top board 11. The guard plates 14 are rotated from the outside in the inside direction, and made pendent near the center of the reverse side of the top board 11, with the pendent guard plates 14 moved outward along the rail members 17, and with the side of the desk 11 thereby guarded with the guard plates 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
