A first controller 21 in a first control unit B1 includes: a first memory for storing the setting conditions of the closing operation of the upper die 8, the threshold with respect to a variation of a closing position of the upper die, and the data during the closing operation of the upper die; a first load detection means; a first processing means for determining a reference closing torque, and the threshold of the reference closing position, and moving torque during the closing operation of the upper die in actual operation, the closing torque during the closing operation of the upper die, and the closing position; a first variation computing means for computing the variation between the closing position of the upper die in the actual operation and the reference closing position of the upper die; a first variation determining means for determining the variation; and a first updating means for updating the reference closing position of the upper die to the closing position of the upper die in the actual operation.
