To provide a developer storage container, a developing cartridge, a process cartridge and an electrophotographic image forming apparatus having a seal winding member constituted so that a wound toner seal member is prevented from loosening and extending from the winding member after the end of winding, and then, the toner sticking to the toner seal member is prevented from scattering.

A ratchet pawl 23c and a rib 16g are arranged between the toner seal winding member 23 or a winding member driving gear (not illustrated) and a toner storage container 16, or a side plate (not illustrated) for holding the toner storage container 16. When the toner seal member 21 is wound in a direction shown by an arrow N, a noise is made by the engagement/disengagement of the pawl 23c and the rib 16g, then, the winding action can be confirmed. Besides, the reverse action of the winding member 23 starts while fixing the trailing end part of the toner seal member 21 to the toner storage container 16, but, the toner winding member 23 is not made rotatable, so that the toner seal member 21 does not loosen, and then, the toner is prevented from scattering.
