Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an automatic pipe connecting device having the expansion pipe capable of cleaning thoroughly the interior of pipe and its sealing part.
CONSTITUTION: When first and second devices are connected, a freely slidable joining can be made between an inner tube 11 and an outer tube 12 of an expansion pipe, independently of the accuracy of the distance between such devices. By the slidable movement of this jointing, an allowance can be made for the elongation of the pipe due to thermal expansion. The liq. article leaking into a liq. discharge space 18 is cleaned with cleaning liq. supplied thereinto even while receiving the liq. article. When an expansion pipe driving device slides the inner tube 11 and the outer tube 12 into the cleaning position, the inside of the expansion pipe can be cleaned with the cleaning liq. and a first sealing member confronting a cleaning liq. through hole 17a or the surface in contact with the first sealing member is forcibly washed with the cleaning liq. sprayed from the cleaning liq. through hole 17a by driving a valve assembly 20a.
