PURPOSE: To carry out the yarn breakage for finishing embroider having a good yarn tightening state by selectively controlling the breakage of upper yarn by a cooperative movement of hook for having the upper yarn and fixed cutter and the breakage of lower yarn by an action of lever for hanging lower yarn and cutter integrated to V-shaped form, respectively.

CONSTITUTION: A tip-forked hook 39 for hanging upper yarn opposite to inner kettle 4 housing lower yarn bobbin fitted in outer kettle 3a and drawing out the upper yarn in the required length is projected and provided in the tip of lever fixed to the shaft of a rotary solenoid 31. When color of embroider is changed, a hook 36 is oscillated by operation of the solenoid 31 and brought into contact with the lower yarn bobbin in an inner cattle 4 and the upper yarn loop is hang and moved with a fixed cutter 39 to cut only the upper yarn. When an embroider is finished and both the upper and lower yarns are cut, the solenoid 31 is operated before stopping sewing machine and the upper yarn is cut in the above-mentioned process and simultaneously the lower yarn is hang by a notch part of tip of lever 38 for hanging the lower yarn and a lever 38 for cutter 34 integrated into a V-shaped form to pull out the lower yarn and then cut by the cooperative movement of the cutter 34 and the above- mentioned fixed cutter 39.
