Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for a combing machine which adjusts a space between the free front end part of a lower nipper plate and the envelope circle of a circular comb in an alternative manner.SOLUTION: A device for a combing machine comprises a nipper assembly which is provided with a nipper frame and a lower nipper plate 14, and which is movable in a reciprocating manner. The lower nipper plate is fixed at the rear end part thereof to the nipper frame. The device comprises a circular comb provided with a circular comb holding body. The circular comb holding body is non-rotatably fixed to a circular comb shaft 26, and a combing segment is fixed over a partial region of the whole circumference thereof. The tips of the combing segment form an envelope circle 28. The device comprises a connection element 29 which is rotatably supported by a front side nipper frame shaft 30 cooperating with the nipper frame and by the circular comb shaft. There is provided an adjuster 40' capable of adjusting a space 37 between the free front end part of the lower nipper plate 14 and the envelope circle of the circular comb.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
