PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wet paper-drying device capable of drying the wet paper in an improved thermal efficiency and in an irregular drying-prevented state by recovering heated air leaked with the rotation of a drier roll and heated air leaked along the axial direction of the roll into an exhaust chamber through a suction duct.
SOLUTION: In a wet paper-drying device, bleeding holes 18 communicating with an exhaust chamber 11 are penetrated in the counter-supply side end parts of air supply chambers 8 for blowing out heated air on the surface of a drier roll 2. Thus, a part of the heated air flows into the exhaust chamber 11 to prevent the flow of the heated flow from staying in the counter-supply end part. A heated air-sucking duct 15 through which the opening of an air cap 7 communicates with the exhaust chamber 11 is further disposed. The opening of the air cap 7 is extended in the longitudinal direction along the peripheral surface of the drier roll 2. Thereby, heated air leaked by the rotation of the drier roll 2 is recovered into the exhaust chamber 11 through the suction duct 15, and heated air leaked along the axial direction of the roll 2 is shut with seal plates 9 disposed at both the ends of the roll 2.
