Title:
DEVICE FOR INTERMITTENTLY DRIVING WIPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5511939
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To exactly drive a wiper by forming a timer circuit for setting an intermittent period by a counter, altering the intermittent period by switching a counting pulse frequency and storing the operation of an intermittent drive switch in an electronic circuit.

CONSTITUTION: When an intermittent drive switch INI is turned on, a gate G2 produces an output "1" and a gate G3 produces an output "0" to thereby release the reset of a counter C1 to allow counting operation through a gate G4 to thereby permit a counter C1 to start timing operation. Since an inverter G5 simultaneously produces an output "1", the output turns a transistor TR2 on. Thus, a wiper is operated to close an automatic stop unit AS within time limit of the counter C1 to return and stop a wiper. On the other hand, when the counter C1 finishes its counting timer operation, it releases the reset of the counter C2 to thereby cause the counter C2 to start counting. After several seconds, one pulse is applied to a selector circuit SEL to reset the counter C1. Thus, the counter C1 restarts counting to thereby operate the wiper at second time. Thus, the wiper is repeatedly operated.
