Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device that measures a geometrical feature or parameter of a tire attached to a wheel and is easy to mount and effective.SOLUTION: A device of the present invention includes: at least one lighting device 2 designed to illuminate part of an object T; at least two cameras 3 each designed to detect an image of the part of the object T illuminated by the lighting device 2; and an electronic unit designed to interpolate the image of the object T received from the cameras 3. The device can measure a parameter such as a wear state of tire grooves, or a geometric shape of a tire such as runout or taper.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
