In a braider BR for constituting a braided material by combining yarns Y1 and Y2 rotating normally and reversely, the braider includes a device 1 for detecting the breakages of the yarns Y1 and Y2. The device 1 for detecting end breakages includes a yarn detection part 11 for outputting a detection signal every time the yarns Y1 and Y2 are passed and a determination part 20 for inputting the detection signal from the yarn detection part 11 and measuring the output interval of every other detection signal so as to determine the presence of the breakages of yarns.
