Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for gene diagnosis capable of easily and accurately detecting a gene aberration of one base or more in a short time and reducing the seize, weight, and costs of the device for automating the diagnosis at a low running cost.
SOLUTION: This gene diagnosis device is provided with a high temperature part splitting a double helix of a DNA sample and a separation part adjusted at a temperature lower than that of the high temperature part for separating the split single stranded DNA sample between a normal DNA, an abnormal DNA, and a noise DNA. In a buffer solution inside a sealed flow passage, the DNA sample and a separating DNA conjugate, in which a base sequence and a polymer compound bondable with the single stranded DNA sample via hydrogen bonds are bonded for separating the DNA sample between the normal DNA, the abnormal DNA, and the noise DNA according to a difference of bonding strength, are charged. When a constant voltage is applied, the DNA inside the sealed flow passage is electrophoresed, and a passage amount of the normal DNA and that of the abnormal DNA are measured respectively by means of a detection part.
