PURPOSE: To uniformly scatter abrasive grains in the peripheral surface of a grinding wheel base body by collecting the abrasive grains, dropped down to a lower side internal peripheral surface of an abrasive grain conveying ring, by an abrasive grain holding part, and on the other hand, releasing these abrasive grains in an upper side part of the abrasive grain conveying ring to be dropped down to an upper surface of the grinding wheel base body.

CONSTITUTION: A cylindrical abrasive grain conveying ring 17, in which an abrasive grain holding part (conveying blade) 21 is formed in the internal peripheral surface, is coaxially arranged with the periphery of a grinding wheel base body 15 and rotated at an angular speed equal to the grinding wheel base body 15 to collect abrasive grains in plating liquid by the abrasive grain holding part 21 in a lower side part of the abrasive grain conveying ring 17. Further, the abrasive grains, collected in an upper side part of this abrasive grain conveying ring 17, are released and dropped down to an upper surface of the grindstone base body 15, and these abrasive grains are fixed by a metal plating phase, deposited in the peripheral surface of the grinding wheel base body 15, to obtain an electrocoating grindstone.
