PURPOSE: To provide a device for packing a washing machine in a fully protective manner.

CONSTITUTION: First bottom cushioning bodies 22a and 22b for supporting a housing 3 and a second bottom cushioning body 23 for supporting a washing machine body 5 are provided respectively with grooves 29 and a flange 30, which are engaged with one another to assemble these cushioning bodies together. The first bottom cushioning bodies 22a and 22b and the second bottom cushioning body 23 are restrained from relative vertical movement when assembled together as mentioned above and, even upon exertion thereon of external force, no vertical displacement occurs between the first and the second cushioning bodies. For this reason, the cushioning action of these cushioning bodies 22a, 22b and 23 on the housing 3 and the washing machine body 5 remains unchanged and, in case they should be subjected to violent shocks in transit, the packed object can be fully protected.
