PURPOSE: To simplify a device and efficiently carry out end picking of yarn ends, by releasing bunch winding at the upper end of a bobbin with a bobbin head holding part of a movable means for inserting the bobbin into a tray on a conveyance passage.

CONSTITUTION: A holding part 23 provided for holding the head part of a bobbin 1 in a movable means 24 for inserting the bobbin 1 on a conveyance passage on the side of a spinning machine into a tray 6 positioned on a conveyance passage on the side of a winder is utilized to release bunch winding formed on the upper end of the bobbin. The released yarn end is then sucked into the interior of the bobbin by a sucking means 35 to pick the yarn end and convey the bobbin without requiring a space of a yarn end picking device to be left for the yarn end on the side of the winder.
