Abstract:

To provide a device for unfolding and restoring a flexible structure, a flexible and unfoldable structure comprising such a device, and a satellite.

The device unfolds and restores a flexible structure comprising: at least one of tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c having an unfolding and restoring axis parallel to an axis X; and a rotor 33 rotatable around an axis Y vertical to the axis X. The tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c may autonomously shift from a wound state on the rotor 33 to a released state. The tape springs 31a, 31b, and 31c are equipped in a state being folded into U-shape and comprising: a first terminal end 16 tightly fixed on a first locking point 36 which may be fixed on a stator 32 or the rotor 33; and a second terminal end 17 wound on the rotor 33.
