PURPOSE: To reduce breakage of a die and to increase the durability by forming an inner die with ceramic material and an outer die with carbonic fiber rein forced graphite material and arranging suitable clearance at a boundary of both dies.
CONSTITUTION: This die for hot-pressing is formed with the inner die and the outer die and arranged to the suitable clearance 3 at the boundary of the inner die and the outer die. The above inner die is made of ceramic material 1 of oxide series, carbide series, boride series and nitride series. Further, the above outer die is made of the carbon fiber reinforced graphite material 2. Then, fitting pressure caused by difference of heat expansions in accordance with the temp. and the kind of the ceramic at the time of using the hot press is suitably held with the above clearance 3.
