Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for reducing a circuit scale and computation amounts required for differential demodulation processing.SOLUTION: A differential demodulation apparatus 100 includes a region identification unit 101, an identification signal delay unit 102, a comparison unit 103, a switching unit 104, a first determination unit 105, a receiving signal delay unit 106, a product sum calculation unit 107, a second determination unit 108, and a selection unit 109. In the product sum calculation unit 107, both of a receiving signal R(m) and a delayed receiving signal R(m-1) are complex numbers, and the product sum calculation unit 107 generates a product sum output signal P(m) by performing multiplication of an imaginary part of the receiving signal R(m) and a real part of the delayed receiving signal R(m-1), multiplication of a real part of the receiving signal R(m) and an imaginary part of the delayed receiving signal R(m-1) and subtraction of two sorts of real number parts. The selection unit 109 selects either one of a first determination signal X(m) and a second determination signal X(m) and outputs the selected signal as a modulation signal Z(m).
