Abstract:

PURPOSE: To read with a high precision by providing a digital audio signal reading device with a means to move a medium in the row axis direction, and linear arrays of which each has a prescribed length and width in the directions of a first axis and second axis respectively and a radiation detection array arranged on a face of a detector.

CONSTITUTION: When a film passes continuously through a fixedly arranged reflection materials 92 and 94, projection of each spot also moves to three adjacent detectors continuously. Three detector arrays 70, 72, and 74 are integrated for the period when the spot parts are projected to the three detectors. Each detector has a length L in a first axial direction and a width W in a second axial direction. The spot lines extend along the second axial direction, and each spot has a width equal to an integral multiple of the width W. For a time T, each detector irradiated with a spot integrates intensities of incident radiation and generates an output signal indicating the intensity of an integrated spot.
