Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To complete writing operation of original image data for one sheet and thumbnail image data for one sheet to a synchronous SDRAM (SDRAM) within one frame period.
SOLUTION: A camera signal of 640 pixels × 480 lines is outputted by a raster scan system by a CCD imager 12. A specified signal processing is performed to the camera signal and thus, the original image data with 640 pixels × 480 lines and the thumbnail image data with 80 pixels × 60 lines are generated. Both pieces of the generated original image data and thumbnail image data are written in the SDRAM 44 via a buffer 36. However, writing of the thumbnail data is performed in horizontal blanking period of the original image data. Namely, the thumbnail image data for one line are written from the buffer 36 to the SDRAM 44 whenever the original image data for 80 lines are written from the buffer 36 to the SDRAM 44.
